new news

Hello! The last couple of days have been busy ones around here. I've started my new job, although so far I've just been planning for next week when the programs actually start. I think it's going to be a lot of fun, although I am a little bit nervous about being able to entertain all those kids! And now we're such a part of the town that on my key ring, I have keys for the Curling Club and the Library. That's kind of fun.
I think we've finally got our pantry colours figured out, but it hasn't been painted yet, as Jai has taken on the very big job of stripping all the wallpaper out of the laundry room/downstairs bathroom and preparing it for paint. Looks like we'll be doing a lot of painting this weekend! Once you get to the painting stage, though, it all seems so dramatic. Paintings fun 'cause when you're done the room looks so much better.
I finally got my Nova Scotia driver's license today. It's a HORRIBLE picture. I look like a cartoon, and Jai looks like a criminal in his. But my new driver's license does have my married name on it. That's the first official thing.
I guess that's all for now. I don't have any new pictures for you, but I can put some more snow pics up. The snow has all melted as the last couple of days have been quite warm. The radio said it was 11 degrees today!

We think these are bunny tracks!

...or on the bright and sunny prairies! Not a drop of rain (or snow) in sight! We always know what's happening on the West Coast when the chinooks appear on the horizon. In the last month they have been rolling off the assembly line with timed regularity (aka the tell tale remains of yet another west coast storm). Lauren and Jai, Happy New Year. May the remaining months of your first year of sharing the same continue to be as filling and exciting as the last few month. I hope the first week of your new job went well Lauren. Hopefully all those little kids came with parents? I'll look forward to hearing how it goes...living with 22 six year olds as I do! Back to school tomorrow. Like you guys, we guys got lots of painting done over the holiday. You can't beat the feel-good of fresh paint on the walls. Take care. Hugs XX A. Janet
