The word this week is "Haunt" - rather fitting. I had trouble thinking of something to go with Haunt, so I turned to the world of literature. This image is based on my hazy recollections of the haunting that occurs in Michael Crummey's "Galore" - one of the best books of 2009 (in my opinion). Turns out I remembered it all wrong. Oops. I'm pretty happy with the picture, though :)

I've red the book. I liked it, but found it also kind of depressing. I don't remember it very well, but this illo could fit in somewhere. The aftmosphere fits. The man looks gloomy and cold. The room is very sober, just a bed and a fire, most important things in New Foundland. I like the naive-style and the grey colors,
